Heather Gessler joins WSIC Radio Station as Account Executive

Political Stories and Sales Expected to Increase

Statesville, N.C. (Dec. 1, 2020) – As of last month WSIC is welcoming, Heather Gessler, to the radio station team as Account Executive and Political Journalist. As Account Executive, Heather will be helping with sales and will serve as a liaison between clients and WSIC. Additionally, she will continue to be a political journalist for the station and provide our listeners with up-to-date stories on election results, campaigns, candidates, etc.

Heather’s experience in politics stems from her work with her high school community service program. In the last 25 years, Heather has worked on over 100+ campaigns in different capacities, increasing her knowledge in politics significantly.  Heather was recently elected 2021 President of Iredell County Republican Women. Through her background in design and politics, Heather’s ability to talk to people will help her thrive in sales with WSIC.

Heather now considers herself a Carolina Girl since moving here after high school from Ohio. She enjoys working with local businesses, helping them grow, and then watching them succeed. She’s married to a local Pediatrician, Dr. Walter Gessler, of 16 years and together they have a 14-year-old son. They recently adopted a lab/collie from the local animal shelter, which she says has “completed their family of four.”

Heather can be seen wielding a chainsaw or a clipboard at multiple disaster sites within the United States. The family can be found hiking in our beautiful mountains with Scouts or at the beach in Cherry Grove any given weekend. She’s currently attending Western Carolina University in pursuit of her bachelor’s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management.

We are very excited to have Heather join the WSIC team and look forward to her contribution.
