Woman wakes-up to burglar in her bedroom

On December 6th, 2014 Deputies from the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office responded to Lewis Ferry Road for a reported breaking and entering. Upon arrival Deputies spoke to the victim who reported she was awaken during the early hours on December 6th, 2014. The victim stated that she was in her room sleeping when she woke up to a load noise. The victim stated that she got out of bed and confronted a man standing in her living room. The suspect told her to stand in the kitchen area of the home and he would not burn the house down. The victim stated that the suspect stole her flat screen television and other items from the home.

The case was assigned to the Detective Division. During the course of the investigation Detectives located numerous potential witnesses in the area in addition to speaking with family members of the victim. Based on statements and other evidence Detectives developed a possible suspect, an Andrew Curtis Creech.

As the investigation progressed Detectives located various pieces of stolen property that was linked back to the suspect, Creech. By locating the property Detectives located additional witnesses that were able to provide new information to strengthen the evidence against the suspect. Based on the totality of all the evidence warrants were issued for Andrew Curtis Creech.

Andrew Curtis Creech 33, of 3133 Harmony Hwy. Harmony NC was charged with 1st Degree Burglary, Felony Larceny after Breaking and Entering, and Obtaining Property by False Pretense. Creech was arrested and given a $15,000 secured bond for all charges. Creech has a pending court date in District Court in Statesville NC.
