Woman arrested for allegedly crashing vehicle into business of former employer


Denver, NC – A woman who had been terminated from her job crashed her vehicle into the front door of the Tutor Time Day Care Center at 7486 Waterside Loop Road in Denver Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies and detectives were dispatched to the Tutor Time Day Care Center around 2:55 p.m. after employees reported that a former employee rammed her vehicle into the double metal and glass front doors to the business.

Amy Susan Fier, 60, of 7196 Executive Circle, Denver left the scene but was stopped a short distance away by deputies responding to the call. Officers reported the front of the vehicle was covered with pieces of glass from the shattered doors. She was taken into custody without incident. Deputies reported several elementary school age children were in the lobby of the building but no one was injured in the incident. Damage to the building was estimated at $3,000.
