Two Lincoln County Men Arrested on Child Sexual Assault Charges

Lincolnton, NC – Two Lincoln County men was arrested on August 4, 2020 on several child sexual assault charges.

Detective Sgt. Dan Renn conducted the investigation after a report was received by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on June 25, 2020.  The report indicated a juvenile female was engaging in sexual intercourse and other sexual contact with Johnny Russell Corriher, 28, of 2577 Keener Road, Lincolnton, NC and Joey Jackson Kiker, 58, of Iron Station, NC.  The victim and suspects knew each other prior to the reported incidents.

A forensic interview was completed with the victim at the Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center in which she described the incidents. The investigation was completed and the suspects were arrested on August 4, 2020.  Johnny Russell Corriher was charged with one felony count each of statutory rape of a child, statutory sex offense of a child, indecent liberties with a minor and second degree kidnapping.

Joey Jackson Kiker was charged with one felony count each of indecent liberties with a child, second degree kidnapping, first degree sexual offense and statutory sex offense with a child.

Corriher and Kiker were taken before a Lincoln County magistrate and placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $150,000 secured bond each.
