Two accused of negligent child abuse in Mooresville

PRESS RELEASE

MOORESVILLE, NC: Mooresville Police arrested Margaret Meadows, 38, and Daniel Cox, 43, both of Mooresville, on two counts of felony negligent child abuse. Police began investigating the couple in November 2016 when reports were made that illicit drugs were being kept and used in the residence located at 218 W. Lowrance Avenue. After an extensive investigation, evidence was obtained and arrests warrants were issued for both Meadows and Cox for the charge listed. The victim in this case is the couple’s 10 month old son who is now in the care and custody of a family member.

Both suspects have been placed in the Iredell County Jail under $20,000 secured bond.
