THE CANVASS OF IREDELL COUNTY’S ELECTION RESULTS HAS BEEN POSTPONED…FOR A SECOND TIME ELECTIONS SUPERVISOR BECKY GALLIHER SAYS…THIS TIME IT’S BECAUSE OF A PROTEST FILED BY AN ANONYMOUS RESIDENT…BECAUSE OF THREE VOTERS…

(AUDIO) “THE PROTEST CLAIMS THAT THEY WERE NOT ELIGIBLE TO VOTE BECAUSE THEY WERE DECEASED. THESE VOTERS VOTED THEIR BALLOTS AND THEN PASSED AWAY.”

GALLIHER TELLS US THE BALLOTS CAST BY THE NOW DECEASED VOTERS WILL NOT CHANGE THE OUTCOME OF ANY LOCAL ELECTIONS. SHE SAYS THE CANVASSING WILL RESUME MONDAY AT 1 PM.
