Statesville Regional Development has released its annual report, outlining economic activities of 2016.
Under business and industrial, the report shows $7 million of investment between Car-Mel Products and Technogym. The two created a total of 130 new jobs.
Nearly $50 million was invested in expansions by McCombs Steel, CR Onsrud and Amesbury Truth. The Amesbury Truth project is still underway, so the net jobs created across those companies could be anywhere between 80 and and more than 150.
Statesville Regional Development Executive Director Russ Rogerson feels the report shows Iredell as a key player for employment with steady, positive growth.
