Shelter for flooding victims being relocated

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency Management is working with our partners at the American Red Cross to relocate the emergency evacuation shelter that was activated on Sunday, June 9th at Hopewell High School in response to the flooding of the Catawba River, impacting homes in the Riverside Drive area.

The shelter is being relocated to Cook’s Memorial Presbyterian Church at 3413 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road, Charlotte, NC 28216. The shelter will be open at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2019.
