A North Carolina man convicted of trying to support ISIS will learn his fate at sentencing tomorrow.
Morganton resident Justin Sullivan was nineteen when he was arrested in 2015 and could spend the rest of his life in prison.
According to the US Attorney’s Office for Western NC, Sullivan admitted that he tried to commit acts of terrorism by planning mass shooting attacks in North Carolina and Virginia. He also admitted to frequent and direct communications with a now deceased Syrian-based ISIS leader.
His sentencing hearing is set for tomorrow in Asheville.
