Public’s Assistance Requested in Bank Robbery

  

Charlotte, N.C. – (Wednesday, March 18, 2020) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Armed Robbery Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in an armed robbery investigation of a bank.

On March 18, 2020, at approximately 11:35 a.m., a male suspect entered the First Citizen’s Bank, located at 128 South Tryon Street, and approached the front counter.  The suspect then implied that he was in possession of a firearm and demanded money from the business employee. The suspect was last seen walking on 4th Street towards the Transit Center.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid-50’s.  He was last seen wearing a blue/white/green plaid shirt, blue jeans, and a black jacket.
