Panthers sign Silatolu to one-year-contract



The Carolina Panthers have signed guard Amini Silatolu to a one-year contract, the team announced Friday.

Silatolu, 6-4 and 320 pounds, rejoins the Panthers after spending 2012-15 with the team. A second-round draft choice (40th overall) by the Panthers in 2012, Silatolu started 28 of 34 games played. Silatolu was an All-Rookie selection by Pro Football Weekly/PFWA in 2012 when he started a career-high 15 games.

Silatolu (pronounced sil-uh-TOE-lou) attended training camp with the Chicago Bears in 2016, but was released September 5.
