Clean-up of the Old Davis Hospital site is set to get another $250,000 in funding to help that effort following a vote by County Commissioners last night.
The money is essentially a grant from the state being passed through the County. That funding is specifically for asbestos abatement. County Manager Ron Smith told Commissioners that this will be combined with other money from the state to help the process.
Mitchell, of course, is trying to buy the property pending clean-up for a future allied health sciences building. Smith told Commissioners there does appear to be a light at the end of the tunnel for the project.
