NEW LICENSE PLATE READERS IDENTIFIED ANOTHER LOST/STOLEN VEHICLE; DRIVER ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES

  

MOORESVILLE, NC – In December 2020, Airyck Brown rented a Mitsubishi Outlander from Avis Rental and did not return it. The vehicle was entered into a database as stolen. Mooresville Police received an automated license plate reader alert on the stolen vehicle earlier today. Officers located the vehicle near JC Circle and arrested the driver, Airyck Brown, 31, of Mooresville.
Brown was charged with Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Trafficking in Schedule 1 (Ecstasy), Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Distribute (Cocaine), Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Distribute (Marijuana), Maintaining a Vehicle for Drugs, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Brown was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center, where he was issued a $100,000 bond.
