Narcotics Division executes search warrant on Statesville residence yielding crack cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, and a firearm.

  

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Wednesday, October 21, 2020 investigators with the Iredell County Narcotics Investigations, Unit along with members of the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT) executed a narcotics search warrant at 349 South Miller Avenue in. Statesville.

Once the residence was secured investigators located “Crack” Cocaine, Ecstasy, and Marijuana inside the home. A firearm which Shuford was prohibited to possess due to being a Convicted Felon was also located.

James Fredrick Shuford was arrested in scene and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was charged with: Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance (Crack Cocaine), Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substance (Ecstasy), Felony Maintaining a Residence for the Distribution of Controlled Substances, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance (Marijuana), and Felony Possession of a Firearm by Felon.

This investigation was initiated when Narcotics Investigators received information stating Shuford was distributing “Crack” Cocaine and other illegal drugs in the area. Undercover investigators were able to establish surveillance operations on Shuford and confirm the   James Fredrick Shuford appeared before Magistrate M. Nethken who issued a 50,000.00 dollar secured bond in this matter.
