That’s according to an e-mail from City Spokeswoman Nancy Davis.  The item was originally on the agenda for Monday night’s meeting but was taken off.  Under one of the proposals, recipients could receive up to $50,000 for projects over $100,000.  A new date for a vote has not been set.

Also from the City of Statesville – a dead 4-foot Python was found by a walker at Mac Anderson Park over the weekend.  That person threw it in a trash can.  City crews discarded it Monday.  It’s thought to have been a Ball Python, said to be one of the more common pet snakes.
