Mooresville welcomes the holiday season with 75th annual Christmas parade


MOORESVILLE, N.C. (WSIC NEWS) – Downtown Mooresville was packed Tuesday as the 75th annual Christmas Parade made its way down North Main Street.

WSIC was among the entries – staff members enjoyed their afternoon greeting everyone who came-out for the parade.  The WSIC float was designed and provided by Cline’s Floats.

The Rowan County All Stars team was honored as Grand Marshals of the parade. The team recently won the Little League Softball Girls World Series Championship.

“I think it’s really cool that we were honored by being the Marshals,” says Avrelle Harrell who is one of the Mooresville students on the team. “I’ve never done this before.”

“It’s a big appreciation to be here and doing this and seeing everyone that probably supported us,” says team member Emmarae Cline. “It’s just amazing.”

WSIC client and host Melissa Neader debuted her new “McCoupe” in the parade which got a lot of attention from the kids. It’s essentially a three-wheel trike vehicle bearing the McDonald’s branding.
