Mitchell sees rise in student enrollment

Statesville, NC – Mitchell Community College recently announced that Spring 2017 semester enrollment numbers have shown an increase in student enrollment. The increase is the first the College has realized for spring since 2012.

The increase stems in part from retention procedures implemented by Mitchell’s Vice President for Student Services, Dr. Porter Brannon. “Our faculty and staff have made a great effort to better assist student with the transition from applicant to enrolled student,” Dr. Brannon stated. “I am excited to see this increase and hope to see more as we continue to evolve to better serve our students and community.”

Mitchell Community College serves 10,000 students annually through a variety of curriculum, continuing education and workforce development programs.
