MOORESVILLE, N.C. (WSIC NEWS) – A large Mooresville home is a total loss following a massive fire Thursday morning.

Kent Greene with Iredell County says this was an approximately 4,000 square-foot home on Misty Meadows Court. The call came in about 10 a.m.

A fire fighter who lives nearby got a call, went outside, and saw what was happening. About seventy fire fighters were called to the scene. Investigators are still trying to figure out where the fire started and what caused it. Foul play is currently not suspected.

According to Greene, initial research showed the home having been on the market recently for about $450,000. Two people were living in the home, but were not there at the time. There were no injuries to fire fighters who responded to the call.
