Council to consider old parking tickets
Mooresville Commissioners and Statesville City Council members both have meetings set for tonight.
In Statesville, Council members will consider writing-off more than thirty-seven thousand dollars in un-paid parking tickets. According to the agenda, tickets that would be written off are more than seven years old.
Public hearing set for Cornelius budget
Cornelius Commissioners could vote as early as tonight to approve the town’s nineteen point six million dollar general fund budget.
A public hearing will be held as part of tonight’s meeting. Staff is recommending to keep the tax rate at the current level of twenty four cents.
Cornelius PD is taking over Mecklenburg County’s share of patrol on Lake Norman – the town is helping fund eight new officers for that duty at a cost of eighty-eight thousand.
