PRESS RELEASE

Sheriff Darren E. Campbell stated: Today, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office had deputies at all of the county schools. We were honored, and blessed to assist school administrators, meet and welcome back the children, as well as help parents who may have been shedding a tear or two.

We continue to work very hard with Iredell-Statesville School Office Administration, local school administrators, and teachers to make sure this is the best school year possible. We want all of our citizens to know we are committed to making and keeping, children, families, teachers and all school staff members safe.

We are much more comfortable today knowing more deputies are on premises of our schools. This will be a first for many in our elementary schools.
