ICSO: Two Georgia residents charged with Felony Drug Crimes in Iredell County.

  

Offense(s)/Charge(s): Felony Trafficking Marijuana by Possession, Felony Trafficking Marijuana by Transportation, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Marijuana, Felony Maintaining a Vehicle for the Sale or Use of a Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Carrying a Concealed Gun, Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia

Location of Incident: Interstate 77 Southbound at the 60 Mile Marker.

Suspect(s): Unrai Keoseng, 39 Years Old, 1657 Georgia Highway 18 East, Macon, Georgia 31217

Janeal Maxine Terrell, 43 Years Old, 1213 Natchez Trace Southwest, Marietta, Georgia 30008

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated On Sunday, March 7, 2021, deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Interstate Criminal Enforcement (ICE) Team were patrolling on Interstate 77 Southbound in the area of the 60 mile marker when deputies conducted a traffic stop of a 2012 Toyota Camry with a GeorgiaRegistration for traffic violations.

Upon approaching the vehicle, the deputies spoke with the occupants, Unrai Keoseng and Janeal Terrell, who explained they were traveling from Roanoke, Virginia to Marietta, Georgia. While speaking with Keoseng he admitted to deputieshe was in possession of two concealed handguns, and neither he nor Terrell were permitted to possess. 

A search of the vehicle was conducted, the two handguns were located, as well as 30 vacuumed sealed packages containing 14,316 grams (31.6 pounds) of high grade marijuana concealed in garbage bags in the trunk. 

Keoseng and Terrell were taken into custody, and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center where each suspect wascharged with; Felony Trafficking Marijuana by Possession, Felony Trafficking Marijuana by Transportation, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Marijuana, Felony Maintain a Vehicle for Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Carrying a Concealed Gun and Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia. 

Unrai Keoseng, and Janeal Maxine Terrell appeared before Magistrate M. Nethken who issued each suspect a 150,000.00 dollar secured bond. The marijuana has an estimated street value of over 280,000.00 dollars per state guidelines.
