Two Counts of Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretense

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Saturday, January 2, 2021 a report was filed with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office about a larceny of jewelry from a private residence. The case was assigned to Detective Danny Wyatt.
During Detective Wyatt’s investigation, he learned two individuals were hired to clean a home. Rhonda Felts Wooten was one of those individuals who cleaned the residence on December 16, and December 21, 2020. Further evidence was gathered showing Rhonda Wooten had sold items of jewelry, which were later identified as the stolen items from the victim’s residence, at Statesville Jewelry & Loan on those dates.
Based on this evidence, Detective Wyatt obtained arrest warrants on Rhonda Felts Wooten for Felony Larceny, and two counts of Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretense.
On Thursday, February 18, 2021 Rhonda Felts Wooten was arrested and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where she was served with the warrants. She then appeared before Magistrate R. Imes who issued a 10,000 unsecured bond for these felony charges.
