CHARLOTTE (WSIC) If you’re in the market for a new house in our region, your choices are more limited than they were this time last year.
Market data from the Charlotte Regional Realtor Association shows available inventory was down more than 16 percent last month when compared with the same time one year ago. Inventory was down more than 20 percent in Huntersville and 12 percent in Mecklenburg County as a whole. Alexander County was down 80 percent.
Across the Charlotte region, closed sales dropped nearly 3 percent while the median price rose about 2 percent. In Iredell County, the median price for homes was up about 11 percent at nearly $267,000. Lincoln County dropped 13 percent, the median price sitting at $300,000.
