Harmony man charged with Felony drug crimes following a lengthy undercover drug investigation

  

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated:  On Tuesday, July 28, 2020, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators with assistance from Warrant Squad Deputies arrested, Anthony Richard Rivers at his residence located at 124 Boundary Lane, Harmony.

Anthony Rivers was the focus of an investigation being conducted by Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators. Rivers was responsible for the sell and distribution of “Crack Cocaine” in northern Iredell County.

Investigators received the charges stemming from previous contacts with Rivers, and two narcotics search warrants which had been executed at his residence.

Sheriff Campbell added, Anthony Rivers is currently out on bond from previous arrests are for Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance “Crack Cocaine”. He has also been served with a Federal Arrest Warrant for Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance ”Crack Cocaine”.

Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Squad Deputies transported Rivers to the Iredell County Detention center where he received a 50,000.00 dollars secured bond for his state charges. A hold order was issued pending his first appearance in Federal Court in the Western District of North Carolina.
