Harmony man accused of pawning stolen generator

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated that on Wednesday, the 21st day of December 2016 a report was made for a larceny at Hoovers Lawn and Garden Equipment on Amity Hill Rd. Employee’s reported that a Honda “Briefcase” Generator had been stolen from the showroom floor during business hours on Monday December 20th. Employees stated they were very busy at the parts counter during the day and when they went to close the store they noticed the generator had been stolen from just inside the store entrance. Employees were able to give Deputies a make, model, and serial number for the generator as well as a picture from a Honda sales manual. With the description Detectives were able to find the generator was pawned the same day it was stolen at a pawn shop in Winston-Salem.

After further investigation it was found that William Michael Inscoe of Flora Ln in Harmony had pawned the generator. The property was recovered undamaged and returned to the store owner. Inscoe was charged with Felony Larceny and was arrested for this and other charges from surrounding agencies. Iscoe was given a $5,000.00 Bond on the Iredell County charges and is still currently in Mecklenburg County Detention Center.
