Temperatures remain warm for now, but it won’t be long before crisp air starts changing leaf colors across the state.
Tourism-themed website RomanticAsheville.com has released a fall foliage guide documenting the best places to visit, week-by-week.
October 2nd through 9th is the first one on the list, when the report says elevations north of Asheville and above 5000 feet will see the most color.
That includes places like Mount Mitchell and Grandfather Mountain.
The report says the city of Asheville and surrounding areas will be ready for viewing between October 20th and 29th.
