Davidson Fire Chief to resign

The Town of Davidson announces that Fire Chief Darin McIntosh will resign at the end of the fiscal year, June 30, 2015. He has served as fire chief since July 2013.

“We are sorry to see Darin leave us in this capacity, and thank him for serving the town as fire chief for the past one-and-a-half years,” said Town Manager Leamon Brice.

Darin McIntosh said, “The Davidson Fire Department has been a very large part of my life for the last 17 years. I love the department and being fire chief, but I can’t dedicate the time required to serve as chief and still balance the demands of my full-time job with the Charlotte Fire Department and my family.”

The town will begin a search for a new fire chief in the next few months.
