CORNELIUS, NC (WSIC) – After more than eight weeks in the hospital, the teen who survived a fatal Cornelius crash in November is expected to be released sometime Thursday morning.
That’s according to a Facebook Group following the healing journey of Grant Geis. Cornelius PD says he was driving a vehicle that lost control on Bailey Road, killing passenger Andres Morales.
WSIC spoke with friends of Grant and Andres shortly after the accident who describe both as positive role models.
The Cornelius Police Department has said speed appears to be a factor in the crash. WSIC has reached-out to that agency for the latest on the investigation.
