Autistic Lincoln County man remains missing

PRESS RELEASE

Lincolnton, NC – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing male who walked away from the Boger City Rest Home on Little Valley Trail, Lincolnton, NC on January 22, 2018.

A Silver Alert was issued for Richard Keith Perdue, 53, who was last seen leaving through a side door at the Boger City Rest Home at approximately 8:30pm on 1/22/2018. He is a white male with black hair and blue eyes, stands 5’5” and weighs 135 lbs. He was last seen wearing a royal blue hoodie and black sweat pants. Perdue suffers from autism and other cognitive disorders.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Land Search Team will return to the area around the rest home to conduct another foot search for Mr. Perdue. The Land Search Team will be in the area between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on January 31, 2018.
