Amy Coney Barrett confirmed to the Supreme Court

Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed tonight by the Senate with a 52-48 vote. This makes the third appointment to the Supreme Court by President Trump, securing a 6-3 conservative court majority for potentially decades.

The only Republican to vote against Barrett was Senator Susan Collins, R-M.E. Senator Thom Tillis, R-N.C, said in his speech Monday that Barrett will “go down in history as one of the great justices.” Justice Clarence Thomas is set to administer the constitutional oath, said a White House official.
