87-year-old accused of selling drugs

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – On August 11, 2015, the Mooresville Police Department Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Edward Junior Williams, 87, of China Grove, NC for selling prescription medication to an undercover police officer.

Williams sold the officer 95, 10mg hydrocodone pills at an undisclosed location and was immediately arrested by Mooresville Police. Williams has been charged with 3 counts of drug trafficking in opium/heroin, 1 count of possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, 1 count of selling a controlled substance, and 1 count of maintaining a vehicle for the sale of a controlled substance.

Williams was transported to the Iredell County jail where he was placed under a $50,000 secured bond.
