Friday Feb. 7th–Cornerstone Christian Academy Students from Statesville greeted and welcomed the President this morning in Charlotte on the tarmac as Airforce One landed.

The president will speak at the North Carolina Opportunity Now Summit at Central Piedmont Community College. It’s a housing and urban development program that promotes economic growth in what are called “opportunity zones.”

Expect traffic delays around the uptown area because of the president’s visit to CPCC.

Traffic between the airport and the central CPCC campus will be affected between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Plan ahead and use alternative routes to avoid these areas if possible.

Traffic around the event site will be closed for most of the morning and early afternoon.
