Panthers waive defensive lineman Bryan Cox



The Carolina Panthers have waived defensive lineman Bryan Cox, Jr., and signed defensive back Cole Luke to the active roster from the practice squad, the team announced Friday.

Luke has been with the Panthers since 2017 when he joined the team as undrafted rookie free agent from Notre Dame. He spent most of his rookie season on injured reserve (ankle) and was a member of the team’s practice squad for all of the 2018 campaign. Luke will wear No. 32 for Carolina.

Cox has spent his entire career with Carolina after being signed by the team as an undrafted rookie free agent from Florida in 2017. He has played in 19 career games in three seasons, totaling 16 tackles and one fumble recovery.
