Mooresville Assistant Manager to briefly serve in top role

PRESS RELEASE

During the agenda briefing on March 1, the Town Board of Commissioners appointed Assistant Town Manager Ryan Rase as acting Town Manager.

Town Manager David Treme announced earlier this week that he would be unable to fulfill his duties for the next two weeks due to medical reasons. The Town’s Charter provides that in the event of the Manager’s absence or disability, the Board is authorized to appoint someone to serve as acting Town Manager in his absence.

In 2008, Rase was hired as Engineering Manager for the Town, and in 2011, he was named Executive Director for Public Services and Operations. In 2012, he became Deputy Town Manager, a job which, in January 2019, was reclassified to the title of Assistant Town Manager.
