I-SS cancels Friday athletic events ahead of Hurricane Florence

The safety of students and staff is our top priority. Iredell-Statesville Schools leaders are monitoring local, regional and national weather reports related to Hurricane Florence. Staff is in close contact with emergency teams for our area and updates are being provided as information is released from the National Weather Service.

As of now, all high school varsity games have been rescheduled for either Wednesday or Thursday. No athletic events will occur on Friday. Please check your individual school websites for updates on athletic event changes.

If there are any other operational changes, ISS will advise you through social media, connect-Ed messages, and the ISS website. Information will also be shared through local media outlets.

We will continue to update families, students, staff and the community as the district continues to monitor the hurricane. As of 12:15pm on Tuesday, September 11, ISS will remain open on a normal schedule this week. Thank you for your support.
