Lincolnton, NC – A year-long drug investigation ended with the arrest of a western Lincoln County man early this morning. (December 12, 2019)
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Division, SWAT team, Adam District Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Division, ALE, and task force officers from the DEA and Homeland Security executed the search warrant at a residence in the 1100 block of Howard’s Creek Mill Road during the early morning hours.
The SWAT team made entry into and secured the residence with no injuries. As a result of the investigation over 120 grams of methamphetamine, valued at $1,500, was seized at the residence today.
Michael Anthony Rednour, 52, of Howard’s Creek Mill Road, Vale, NC was arrested and charged with eight felony counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, four felony counts of trafficking methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance Schedule IV, felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance Schedule VI, two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance Schedule IV and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rednour was taken before a Lincoln County magistrate and placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $250,000 secured bond. He will have a first appearance in Lincoln County District Court on December 13, 2019.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending. Narcotics investigators anticipate more arrests to follow.
