Wanted Rockingham County man arrested in Iredell

PRESS RELEASE

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Friday, July 12, 2019 the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office was called to assist another agency with a traffic stop at 849 Turnersburg Highway. A driver’s license check of the driver of the truck, Nicholas Brandon Ward, indicated he was wanted out of Rockingham County, and to approach with caution if encountered.

Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Deputy K. Robbins arrived to assist. Deputy Robbins detained Nicholas on the outstanding warrant. A search of the truck located a large quantity of heroin.

Deputy Robbins arrested Nicholas Brandon Ward, and transported him to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was charged with: Felony Trafficking of Heroin by Possession, Felony Trafficking of Heroin by Transport, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Ward was taken before Magistrate S. Nicholson who issued an 800,000.00 secured bond on these charges.

Nicholas Ward had been released from custody in Rockingham County on Monday, July 8, 2019 after posting a 500,000.00 dollars secured bond for Trafficking Heroin and other related charges.
