Three injured in Statesville fighting, shooting incident

Statesville NC: On Saturday, March 24, 2018, at approximately 12:31am, Statesville Police Officers responded to 1607 Salisbury Hwy. (Fiesta Rodeo) in reference to a fight in progress. While en-route, officers were advised a gunshot victim was also being reported. A large party was occurring at the business when a fight started inside and spilled out into the parking lot where the shooting occurred.

It was discovered there were three separate victims. Two of the victims were taken to Baptist Hospital for treatment and a third was treated and released. None of the injuries are life threatening. The Violent Crimes Collaborative, ALE, and CID members were called to the scene. The investigation is ongoing currently.

An investigation by ALE is also being conducted at this time into the business where the incident occurred and charges are expected to be forthcoming. This case is in its very early stages as Officers continue to investigate what took place.
