MOORESVILLE, NC (WSIC) – Three people were injured as a result of a Memorial Day shooting in Mooresville.

Investigators with the Mooresville Police Department say two males visited two other males at a Selma Drive address.  The two at the Selma Drive address are accused by police of firing shots at the two who came to visit. Investigators say they are dealing with limited cooperation and that those involved have different timelines of what happened.

At least one of those injured followed an ambulance responding to an unrelated call at the AmStar Theater instead of driving directly to the hospital.  Two of the three injured were treated at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.  One person received a gunshot wound, the other individual suffered lacerations to the head.  A third individual was treated at a Charlotte hospital for gunshot wounds.

There was no shooting at the theater.  Investigators believe a total of four people are involved in the incident.  Three were injured, one was not.  The injured individuals went to different hospitals.

The Mooresville Police Department is investigating.  Return to this page for updates on this developing story.
