Suspicious person call ends with drug charges

PRESS RELEASE

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Wednesday, May 22, 2019 Deputy E. Johnson was dispatched to the 200 Block of Elysian Drive in reference to a suspicious person call.

Deputy E. Johnson and Deputy S. Weathers located two subjects walking near 119 Zephyr Drive. The male party matched the description of the individual which have been given by the caller. Deputies then spoke with the individuals who identified themselves as Daniel Louis Desanti, and Brittany Nicole Morgan of Mooresville.

While conducting an investigation, the deputies discovered 32 Xanax bars in the possession of Daniel Desanti, they also found an additional 25 Adderall Pills in the possession of Brittany Morgan.

Desanti and Morgan were arrested and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center. Daniel Desanti was charged with Felony Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Schedule IV Controlled Substance. Magistrate T. Thompson issued a 5,000.00 dollar secured bond in this charge. Brittany Morgan was charged with Misdemeanor Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance. Magistrate T. Thompson issued a 2,500 dollars secured bond on this charge.
