CONCORD N.C. (WSIC NEWS) – Skeletal human remains found in Concord are believed to be those of a woman who disappeared in 2012, according to police.

The Concord Police Department issued a release Friday morning saying additional forensic examination is needed, but that the remains are currently presumed to be those of Crystal Dawn Morrison.   The remains were recovered over several days from a wooded area near the intersection of Davidson Highway and Winecoff School Road.  Morrison was last seen in the vicinity of this area in 2012.

Investigators have been working with Morrison’s family since 2012 and say they will continue to look-into the circumstances of her disappearance and death.  Anyone with information is asked to call 704-920-5000 or Cabarrus County Crime Stoppers at 704-93-CRIME.
