Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Monday, July 15, 2019 the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received a report in reference to, two vehicles having been broken into in the area of Faith Road near Mooresville. Detective D. Clodfelter with the Criminal Investigation Division was assigned the case.
Detectives were able to develop information which proved Dre’Quan Ramon Stephens and Aaron James Byrd were suspects in this and many other vehicle breaking and entering’s in the Mooresville area.
The suspects were arrested by Mooresville Police Department on the night of the incidents for larceny of alcohol from a store in Mooresville and during the arrest Mooresville Police Department recovered two Garmin GPS, kitchen knives, a purse, women’s wallet, debit card, and a book bag.
Detectives was able to obtain warrants for arrest on Aaron Byrd and Dre’Quan Stephens for two counts of Felony Breaking and Entering to Motor Vehicles and two counts of Misdemeanor Larceny.
On Tuesday, July 23, 2019 Dre’Quan Ramon Stephens was arrested and was taken before Magistrate R. Imes who issued Stephens a 4,500.00 dollar secure bond on these charges.
Aaron James Byrd was also arrested on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. Byrd was taken before Magistrate D. Chambers who issued Byrd a 5,000.00 dollar secure bond on the same charges.
