Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Thursday, October 31, 2019 investigators with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigations Unit, members of the SERT Team along with deputies with the Interstate Criminal Enforcement (ICE) Team executed a narcotics search warrant at 1011 Hull Street in Statesville. NC ending nearly a month long investigation into the sell and distribution of Crack Cocaine.
Narcotics investigators received an anonymous complaint in September which alleged the occupants of the residence were distributing “Crack” cocaine from the residence at 1011 Hull Street.
Investigators were able to conduct surveillance operations on the residence which confirmed the information. Undercover investigators were able to make numerous purchases of “Crack” cocaine from the occupants of the residence. The suspects were identified as Emily Jayne Crater, and Charles Richard Summers Jr.
Based upon all of the evidence gathered through this investigation, narcotics investigators were able to obtain a search warrant for the residence.
When the warrant was executed Emily Crater was the only suspect located inside the residence.
Crater was taken into custody and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center. One there she was charged with: three Felony Counts of Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance (Crack Cocaine), and Felony Maintaining a Dwelling for the Sale or Use of a Controlled Substance. Magistrate R. Imes issued Crater a 30,000.00 dollars secured bond on these charges.
Felony arrest warrants were obtained for Charles Richard Summers Jr., for two counts of Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance (Crack Cocaine).Summers has been entered as a Wanted Person.
Sheriff Campbell added, “This was the second time our narcotics investigators have executed a search warrant at this residence since May of 2018”.
