Pair accused of squatting inside Davidson residence wanted on felony charges

On January 4, 2019 the Davidson Police Department arrested two suspects that claimed to have legal cause and ownership of the property at 1150 Concord Road in Davidson. At the time of the booking, they were granted misdemeanor charges. Further investigation revealed evidence related to felony crimes that led to five felony arrest warrants.

Suspect information:

Turmaine Tyron Thorne, an African-American male, born in 1989, with a height of 5’11” and a weight of 165 pounds. His alias is Maqilali Bey.

He was charged with the following offenses:

• Felony Breaking & Entering
• Obtain Property by False Pretense
• Possession of Firearm by Felon

Taqiyah Camyah Barber, an African-American female, born in 1984, with a height of 5’8” and a weight of 250 pounds. Her alias is Ghaniun Hikmat Camyah Bey.

She was charged with the following offenses:

• Felony Breaking & Entering
• Obtain Property by False Pretense

The suspects’ vehicle is a black 4-door 2017 Dodge Charger, NC tag: FBH-8700

North Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers is offering a $500 reward for information on the whereabouts of the suspects leading to an arrest. A tip can be submitted online or at 704-896-7867.

The investigation and search for these two suspects is ongoing. Anyone with additional information about the suspects and their location is asked to call the Davidson Police Department at 704-892-5131 and speak to Detective Jay Stokes.
