One person receives life-threatening injuries in shooting at Huntersville restaurant

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (WSIC NEWS) – One person received life-threatening injuries after being shot in the parking lot of the Huntersville Wendy’s Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

A spokesperson for the Huntersville Police Department describes the suspects as three black males who fled in a dark-blue, four-door sedan. Their direction of travel is unknown. The incident occurred at the Wendy’s off Statesville Road near Gilead.

Police say the victim is a 22-year-old black male who is now in stable condition. He received a single gunshot wound during the incident. People on-scene told WSIC news partner FOX 46 they heard a fight outside before the shooting occurred.
