Mooresville PD: Patrol cars rammed as shoplifting suspects try to flee

At approximately 4:23 p.m., on August 7, a shoplifting call was received from Kohl’s, 350-T West Plaza Drive, when employees witnessed a shoplifting incident in progress.

Upon arrival, MPD officers witnessed a female with items running out of the store, heading towards an awaiting vehicle. Officers pulled to the front and rear of the suspect vehicle. The male driver drove forward striking the police vehicle in front of him, then drove backwards striking another police vehicle behind him. Both suspects were immediately detained.

The suspects were identified as Lameeka D. Calloway , both of Charlotte. Calloway was charged with Felony Larceny and Conspiracy to Commit Felony Larceny. Faulkner was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Felony Larceny, Resist/Obstruct a Law Enforcement Officer, Careless & Reckless Driving, and Assault with a Deadly Weapon on a Law Enforcement Officer. Both individuals were transported to Iredell County Detention Center where Calloway received a $10,000 secured bond and Faulkner received a $50,000 secured bond.
