Methamphetamine seized during I-77 traffic stop

PRESS RELEASE

Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Sunday, June 8, 2019 Sergeants E. Line and Sgt. L. Hayes of the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE) Team stopped a vehicle on Interstate 77 Northbound at the 49 Mile Marker for a traffic violation.

When the deputies approached the vehicle, they observed three subjects in the vehicle. They asked the driver, Jerry Lee Lippard III, to step out of the vehicle. They searched Lippard for weapons after further investigation while he spoke with the deputies. Lippard was found to be in possession of marijuana and Buprenorphine.

The deputies then searched the vehicle where they located over 30 grams of crystal methamphetamine along with numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

The passengers Breanna Frances Oliver, and Michael Joseph Gamboa were then searched. Oliver was in possession of over 40 grams of methamphetamine along with several Buprenorphine pills and strips. Gamboa was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.
Through criminal records checks, the deputies learned Breanna Oliver had outstanding warrants for her arrest for removing her GPS Ankle Monitoring Device she was required to wear as part of her probation.

All three suspects were arrested and transported them to the Iredell County Detention Center where they went before Magistrate P Tutterrow.

Jerry Lee Lippard III was charged with: Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine by Possession, Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine by Transport, Felony Conspire to Traffic Methamphetamine, Felony Possession with Intent to Sale and Deliver Methamphetamine, Felony Possession with Intent to Sale and Deliver Schedule III (Buprenorphine), Felony Maintain a Vehicle for the Sale of a Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving While License Revoked. He received a 250,000.00 dollar secured bond.

Breanna Frances Oliver was charged with: Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine by Possession, Felony Trafficking Methamphetamine by Transport, Felony Conspire to Traffic Methamphetamine, Felony Possession with Intent to Sale and Deliver Methamphetamine, and Felony Possession with Intent to Sale and Deliver Schedule III (Buprenorphine). She was served with her outstanding arrest warrant. Oliver received a 255,000.00 dollars secured bond.

Michael Joseph Gamboa was charged with: Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He a 5,000.00 dollar secured bond. Gamboa is currently on Probation for Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and has multiple convictions for misdemeanor drug offenses and traffic offenses.
