Man wanted on 2011 Tennessee warrant arrested in Alexander County

On Friday, July 12th Deputies with the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office conducted a vehicle stop on NC 127 due to a moped being seen suspicious in the area. After checking the identification of the driver John Ray Davidson, it was discovered that Mr. Davidson was a wanted fugitive from Sullivan Co. Tennessee. He was wanted for Felony Failure to Appear on a 2011 case of Felony Aggravated Assault. The driver was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Detention Center to await an Extradition Hearing. His bond was set at $25,000.00 secure.
