Man wanted by deputies accused of selling stolen items at pawn shop



Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Wednesday, April 10, 2019 Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to 506 Tabor Road near Olin for a reported breaking and entering. When the Deputies arrived, the homeowner advised someone had stolen several tools, valued at more than 2,100.00 dollars, from inside his carport at some point during the day. The Deputies gathered additional information, and collected evidence from the crime scene.

The case was sent the Criminal Investigation Division. While conducting the investigation, Detectives gathered additional information from the victim, and canvassed the neighborhood searching for anyone who may have information concerning the larceny.

During the investigation Detectives were able to locate several of the reported stolen tools at a pawn shop located in High Point, North Carolina. The store provided information to the Detectives showing Michael Dwaine Davis, and another unidentified man came into the pawn shop on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 around 2:30 pm where they sold the tools for cash. Detectives traveled to the pawn shop and, recovered the stolen tools then returned them to the victim.

Felony Arrest Warrants have been obtained on Michael Dwaine Davis for one count of Felony Breaking or Entering to a Building, and one count of Felony Larceny after Breaking and/or Entering. Davis has been entered as a Wanted Person.
