MOORESVILLE, NC: On July 31, detectives with the Mooresville Police Department responded to 139 Karlstad Lane, Mooresville for a death investigation. Upon arrival, officers found the body of Pamela Lee, 62, along with approximately 1⁄4 pound of heroin, more than an ounce of cocaine, a firearm, $1,300 cash, and other drug paraphernalia.
Ms. Lee lived in the house with her son, Alonzo Lee, 47, who was not home at the time detectives were on scene. Alonzo Lee had previously served 20 years in prison for a 1990 murder in Michigan. He was paroled in 2010 and came off parole in 2013. On August 16, detectives arrested Alonzo Lee and charged him with Trafficking in Heroin, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Heroin, Felony Possession of Heroin, Trafficking in Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Sell and Distribute Cocaine, Felony Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and Felony Maintaining a Dwelling. He was placed in the Iredell County Jail under a $250,000 bond.
After arresting Mr. Lee, a search warrant was executed on a rented storage unit in Cornelius with the assistance of detectives and officers of the Cornelius Police Department. Inside the storage unit, detectives found an additional two pounds of heroin, four ounces of cocaine, and drug manufacturing equipment. As a result of the storage unit seizure, Alonzo Lee was charged with Trafficking in Heroin, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Heroin, Felony Possession of Heroin, Trafficking in Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine, and Felony Possession of Cocaine. He was given an additional $750,000 secured bond.
The death investigation for Pamela Lee is still on-going.
